Skype 1.2 for iPhone: Still no Push

In the past few hours, Skype for iPhone has been updated to version 1.2. Among the many improvements and new features, however, surprising the lack of push notification.

The list of news is not eager for interesting ideas. Here they are in detail:

Call Transfer from iPhone to iPhone when we are not connected with Skype

Improved audio quality of calls

Easier to send SMS

Calls are routed more quickly

Contact status is updated more frequently

Opportunity to appear online / offline when iPhone is locked

Support for contact groups

Ability to change the name and telephone contact photos stored

Support for URL schemes Skype: Safari

Improved support proxy configurations

More new minor

Whereas the previous version was the limit of usability when making a call, it seems to make significant improvements: an audio conference with other Skype users is now easier and gives good audio quality. Even call transfer is excellent (we will love even those of Skype, because it affect the phone bills), but probably the vast majority of users waiting for the push notification which, moreover, should not even be so difficult implement. Will be for next time.
