99.4% of the mobile downloads are for the iPhone
That the iPhone has been the main cause of this fever which we live today for downloadable applications is undeniable. It is therefore not surprising that Apple is the terminal which is getting more out of this trend.

According to a study by Gartner, 99.4% of mobile phone applications downloaded in 2009 belonged to the Apple App Store. The implications of this figure is clear: other mobile application stores (Android Market, Nokia Ovi Store, App Blackberry World …) share only the crumbs, the remaining 0.6%. Attention to the devastating graphic that you have down there.
This has meant, according to Gartner, Apple generated over the past year a total of 4,200 million dollars just with digital downloads. Furthermore, predictions for the coming years say this figure could rise in 2013 up to 29,500 million.
