The EU removed the iPhone from the market if it proves to be dangerous
The European Commissioner for Consumer Protection, Meglena Kuneva, Bulgarian, made a statement Monday about the several incidents involving explosions iPhone terminal. Kuneva said he does not rule out withdrawing the Apple phone market where it is shown that the explosions were caused by a manufacturing defect.
“I do not need permission (from Apple) to block the access of products to market. If they are dangerous, ordered their withdrawal,” Kuneva said, adding that currently are being tested to see where the problem even though everything points to batteries.
“If I receive information from the French authorities indicate that they are dangerous act in the interest of consumers. I’ll order a product recall as we did with the Italian coffee, “said the commissioner in reference to the Senseo coffee machines, which were recalled after several consumer suffered burns.
So far there have been incidents related to the iPhone in Britain, France and Germany, but the official version of Apple is that they are “isolated incidents”.
