What is iTunes U
iTunes U is a revolutionary through which universities and educational institutions in general may provide audio and video content to students, alumni and, in general, to anyone eager to enjoy content.
iTunes U puts the popular technology of the iTunes Store to work in the service of education, so that users can search, download and play easily curriculum and training materials, as they do with music or videos. It has never been so easy to make available to the student presentations, lectures, demonstrations, study materials or any other audio-visual training content. The purpose of iTunes U is, ultimately, expand and bring the experience of learning beyond the classroom and campus.
Last June, iTunes U has been extended beyond the U.S. and Canada, giving entry to Universities in the UK and Ireland. And last week, iTunes U launched in the first institutions to teach non-English language universities in Germany, France and Switzerland.
